Chelsea join Manchester United in the race to sign Metz teenager Pape Sarr, according to a report.

Chelsea have reportedly emerged as suitors for Metz teenager Pape Sarr, with the Blues potentially battling Manchester United for his signature during this summer's transfer window.

The 18-year-old joined Metz from Senegal Premier League side Generation Foot last September and has scored three times in 20 appearances for the French club during the 2020-21 campaign.

A recent report claimed that Man United were at the head of the queue for the midfielder, who made his debut for Senegal against Congo last month.

However, according to L'Equipe, Chelsea have now joined the race for Sarr and could rival Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in the upcoming market.

The report claims that Everton are also admirers, with Metz seemingly facing a tough task to keep hold of the youngster on a long-term basis as the interest grows.

Sarr has a contract with Les Grenats until the summer of 2025.
