Danny Murphy doubts Harry Kane will leave Tottenham Hotspur

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy claims that he would be astounded if Tottenham Hotspur allowed Harry Kane to join Manchester United, regardless of the price.

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has claimed that it will be extremely difficult for Manchester United to prise Harry Kane away from Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane, 22, has been linked with a £50m move to Man United after establishing himself as one of the best forwards in the Premier League.

However, Murphy, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, has said that he would be astounded if Spurs allowed the England international to leave.

"I don't think Harry Kane will be going anywhere, ever. If Spurs keep progressing, he could be the player they build the team around. They could break the wage structure for him," Murphy told talkSPORT.

"If they sell Harry Kane in the next couple of years, could you imagine the uproar? If they sell him, they might as well give up. What's the point if you can't keep Harry Kane?"

Kane scored 31 times for Spurs in all competitions last season and has already netted 10 goals in 19 appearances this term.
