Borussia Dortmund are reportedly ready to battle Bayern Munich for Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi should they lose Jadon Sancho to Manchester United this summer.

Borussia Dortmund will reportedly challenge Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi if they lose Jadon Sancho this summer.

Sancho has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League following a breakthrough campaign at the Westfalenstadion, with Manchester United understood to be particularly interested in the 18-year-old England international.

Dortmund have reportedly put a £100m asking price on Sancho's head, and The Mirror claims that they would use the bulk of that money to sign Hudson-Odoi as a readymade replacement.

Hudson-Odoi's future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain, with the 18-year-old growing frustrated by a lack of regular first-team football under Maurizio Sarri.

The youngster has earned a maiden call-up to the England squad despite never having started a Premier League game for Chelsea, with his form in the Europa League and cup competitions enough to impress Gareth Southgate.

Chelsea turned down a number of bids for Hudson-Odoi from Bayern Munich during the January window, as well as rejecting a transfer request from the player himself, but they are braced for renewed interest this summer.

The Blues' situation is complicated by uncertainty surrounding the future of Eden Hazard - whose exit would open up more first-team opportunities for Hudson-Odoi - as well as their two-window transfer ban which has been appealed.

Chelsea would risk losing Hudson-Odoi for a cut-price fee if they refuse to sell this summer and the youngster does not sign a new contract, and Dortmund are hopeful that they can take advantage of that situation.

The attacker is understood to be encouraged by the progress his friend Sancho has made at Dortmund and would be open to following a similar path to first-team football.
