Juventus reportedly make a breakthrough in their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Juventus have reportedly made a breakthrough in their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Italian champions, alongside Real Madrid, were strongly linked with the France international during the summer but were unable to agree a deal with United.

Pogba made his return from a long injury layoff against Watford on Sunday, but the speculation surrounding the 2018 World Cup winner's future remains.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently insisted that the 26-year-old will not be sold in January, but according to Tuttosport, the Red Devils could now be prepared to do business with Juve.

The report claims that the 20-time English champions are open to an offer of £52m plus Emre Can, who has struggled to earn minutes in Turin during the 2019-20 campaign.

The midfielder is allegedly determined to secure a return to Juve, where he won four Serie A titles before returning to the Red Devils in the summer of 2016.

Pogba is expected to return to United's starting XI for the clash with Newcastle United on Boxing Day.
