Manchester United reportedly feel that it is unlikely that Edinson Cavani will push for a January exit from Old Trafford.

Manchester United are reportedly confident of retaining the services of Edinson Cavani next month.

The 34-year-old has endured a frustrating first half to the campaign with just two starts and six substitute appearances being made in all competitions.

The brother and agent of the Uruguay international has recently suggested that all offers will be considered during the January transfer window.

However, according to Manchester Evening News, United do not expect Cavani to push for an exit from Old Trafford.

That is despite the player being able to hold discussions with foreign clubs regarding a pre-contract agreement from January 1 onwards.

Barcelona, Juventus and clubs in South America have all been linked with a move for the veteran frontman.
