Manchester United are reportedly showing interest in Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who has spent the second half of this season on loan at West Bromwich Albion.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who has spent the second half of the season on loan at West Bromwich Albion.

The 23-year-old is yet to score for Sam Allardyce's side in his 12 Premier League appearances for the Baggies, but has attracted the interest of the Red Devils following his overall performances.

Maitland-Niles has played the majority of his football in midfield for West Brom this season but he is a versatile player as he can also play at full-back.

According to The Mirror, Man United would like Maitland-Niles at Old Trafford to provide cover and competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who arrived in Manchester in 2019.

The Englishman made 21 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions this season before he left for the West Midlands in the winter transfer window, but his future at the Emirates is unclear.

Maitland-Niles is an academy graduate at Arsenal and he made his first-team debut in 2014, going on to make 121 appearances for the club since then.
