Manchester United are reportedly preparing to switch their attention to Aston Villa's Jack Grealish after suffering a blow in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils continue to be linked with a summer move for Sancho, but BVB chief Sebastian Kehl recently said that the German side were confident of keeping the 20-year-old for another 12 months.
According to the Daily Star, the 20-time English champions are now considering switching their focus to Grealish, who could cost as much as £75m during this summer's transfer window.
Grealish, like Sancho, has been strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford in recent months, having impressed for Villa during the 2019-20 campaign.
The 24-year-old has scored nine times and registered eight assists in 31 appearances at club level this term, but Dean Smith's side are still 19th in the Premier League table and facing the threat of relegation.
The Englishman's existing deal at Villa Park is due to run until June 2023.
