Manchester United have reportedly decided to offer a new contract to midfielder Ashley Young.
Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho, Young has been in and out of favour with the Portuguese, but the 32-year-old has now established himself as a key member of the first-team squad at Old Trafford.
According to the Daily Mail, United are prepared to offer the England international - who can play in defence or midfield down either flank - an extra 12 months at the club.
However, it has been claimed that Young's representatives are looking for a two-year deal, which would keep him at the North-West giants until 2020.
Young has made a total of 12 starts for United this season, but the player hit the headlines on Tuesday night after scoring two long-range efforts in the club's 4-2 victory away at Watford.
Earlier this year, Young rejected a double-your-money offer to join Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng.
