AC Milan have emerged as rivals to Manchester United for the signature of Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder.
The Dutch midfielder's future has come under intense speculation following the Nerazzurri's decision to exclude him from first-team activities until he agrees to a cut in his reported £200,000-per-week wages.
It is believed that Sneijder could be allowed to leave as soon as January.
Sir Alex Ferguson has long been an admirer of Sneijder and has been linked with a move on a number of occasions, but talkSPORT have reported that the Rossoneri have now entered the fray.
Sneijder joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2009.
