Manchester United are plotting a swoop for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas in exchange for David de Gea, according to reports.
The Costa Rican has failed to secure a first-team berth at the Bernabeu this season, as Iker Casillas is considered to be Carlo Ancelotti's first-choice stopper.
Real, however, are thought to be looking for other long-term replacements for the 2010 World Cup winner, with Red Devils keeper De Gea understood to be at the top of their shopping list.
According to the Daily Star, Louis van Gaal will look to strike a possible cash-plus-player deal for Navas should the Spanish stopper leave Old Trafford.
Navas joined Real Madrid last summer after helping his country to the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Brazil.
