Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
According to Diario Gol, United boss Jose Mourinho, who signed Varane while in charge of Los Blancos, has convinced club bosses that the Frenchman is an ideal fit in the team's defence.
The source adds that Madrid, who do not regard Varane highly in the club's hierarchy, could be persuaded to let the centre-back leave, with a £60m offer allegedly suitable for the 24-year-old's services.
Varane moved to the Spanish capital in 2011 from Lens, and has won three Champions League crowns and two La Liga titles in his time with the club.
The defender has made one assist in his 19 appearances for Zinedine Zidane's side this term.
