Jose Mourinho rejects rumours Chelsea want Cristiano Ronaldo

Jose Mourinho rubbishes reports that Chelsea are considering a shock move for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo next summer.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has dismissed rumours claiming that the club are planning a surprise move for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Ballon d'Or winner recently expressed a desire to return to former club Manchester United, sparking suggestions that he may return to the Premier League next summer.

Recent reports suggested that Chelsea may try to hijack United's move by bidding £60m for the Portugal captain at the end of this season.

When asked about these rumours in this afternoon's press conference, Mourinho shook his head and said: "Forget it."

Ronaldo worked under Mourinho at the Bernabeu for three years.
