RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann has conceded that Timo Werner is likely to leave the club during this summer's transfer window.
The 24-year-old has been in excellent form for his German side during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 31 goals and providing 13 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea are believed to be in advanced talks over a deal for the centre-forward, though, and Nagelesmann does not expect the Germany international to still be with the club heading into the 2020-21 campaign.
"I do not expect Timo to be here next season," Nagelsmann told DAZN.
Werner will finish the 2019-20 season at Leipzig, which might run until August as the Bundesliga side are waiting for an announcement on the return of the Champions League.
Chelsea have seemingly beaten the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United to the striker, though, after agreeing to meet the reported £54m release clause in his contract.
