A number of Premier League clubs, including North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, are reportedly considering a move for Montpellier striker Elye Wahi.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are among a number of top Premier League clubs who are reportedly interested in signing Montpellier striker Elye Wahi.

Wahi joined the Montpellier academy in 2018, and he has worked his way up to the first team, where he has registered 20 goals and four assists in 76 appearances.

The Montpellier forward has been in fine form this season, scoring seven goals and providing one assist across 18 games.

Despite being under contract with the Ligue 1 club until June 2025, Wahi's future is currently uncertain following interest from a number of Premier League sides.

According to Foot Mercato, North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are among those who are considering a move for the 20-year-old.

Mikel Arteta's side have reportedly been monitoring Wahi's progress for several months, while Spurs have recently sent scouts to watch the Frenchman in action.

Although Eddie Nketiah has deputised superbly for the injured Gabriel Jesus, scoring four goals in his last five Premier League appearances, the Englishman is Arsenal's only recognised fit centre forward.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte can call upon Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Richarlison, but a move for Wahi would add valuable strength in depth to their forward line.

Potential suitors may find it difficult to prise Wahi away from Montpellier, who are keen to keep hold of one of their key players.

However, the report does suggest that an offer in excess of €30m (£26.3m) could tempt Montpellier to come to the negotiating table.

As well as being linked with Arsenal and Tottenham, Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the Montpellier man.

United have signed Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley this month, but the Dutchman is viewed as a temporary solution, and as a result, they are keen to sign a forward in the summer.

Manchester City and Liverpool are also said to be among Wahi's admirers, while there is also interest from around Europe.

Juventus, Marseille and a number of other Ligue 1 clubs are currently monitoring the striker's situation.
