Paris Saint-Germain did not submit a formal offer for Cristiano Ronaldo over the summer, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly did not submit a formal offer for Cristiano Ronaldo over the summer.

The Ligue 1 giants were strongly linked with the Portugal international when it became clear that he was pushing to leave Juventus one year before the end of his contract in Turin.

There were suggestions that Mauricio Pochettino's side wanted to sign the all-time leading international goalscorer to play alongside Lionel Messi in Paris.

However, according to Le 10 sport, PSG did not make an official move for the 36-year-old during the summer transfer window despite the speculation.

Ronaldo ultimately completed a famous return to Manchester United from Juventus, signing a two-year contract with the club that he previously represented between 2003 and 2009.

The former Sporting Lisbon youngster has now arrived in the United Kingdom after being released from international duty early, and he is in line to make his second debut for the 20-time English champions in the Premier League clash with Newcastle United on September 11.
