Raul Jimenez flattered by Manchester United, Liverpool interest

The father of Wolves striker Raul Jimenez admits that his son finds it "very cool" to be linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs, but that he is happy at Molineux.

The father of Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez has admitted that his son finds it "very cool" to be linked with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.

The 29-year-old has enjoyed another prolific season under Nuno Espirito Santo at Molineux, directly contributing to 32 goals from 44 games to aid Wolves' charge both domestically and in the Europa League.

Jimenez's form has attracted attention from some of Europe's biggest clubs, including United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, but his father - also called Raul Jimenez - insists that he is currently happy at Wolves.

"Raul has always said so, it's something very cool (to hear clubs like United and Juve are keen)," Jimenez Snr told Medio Tiempo.

"He's very happy at his club, hopefully getting into positions for Champions League and Europa League at the moment. Always for him, all of that will be very gratifying, very cool to hear those comments.

"Right now is the time of rumours, God willing the league hopefully resumes next month and that's where we are right now. The rest, there is nothing. He's only commented on what he sees that they publish, but nothing at the moment.

"Later if there is something different, it will be seen. But now, yes, they are mere speculation and rumours."

Wolves are reportedly open to the idea of selling their star striker should any of the interested parties lodge a suitable bid.
