Manchester United are reportedly still interested in signing John McGinn from Aston Villa.
McGinn quickly adapted to the Premier League following Villa's promotion last May and was subsequently linked with a mid-season switch to United.
The Scotland international fractured his ankle at the end of 2019, however, and the Red Devils' supposed interest has since gone quiet.
According to The Sun, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not ruled out making a move for the 25-year-old when the transfer window reopens.
Newcastle United, managed by McGinn's former Villa Park boss Steve Bruce, are also rumoured to be weighing up an offer.
