Saul Niguez wants 'lifetime Atletico Madrid deal'

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, who has been strongly linked with Manchester United, claims that he wants to sign "a lifetime contract" at his current club.

Saul Niguez has strongly denied reports linking him with a move to Manchester United and instead insisted that he wants to sign "a lifetime contract" with Atletico Madrid.

The 21-year-old has established himself in the Atletico first team this season, with his ability to play in a number of positions making him a favourite of head coach Diego Simeone.

Man United are believed to hold a long-standing interest in the Spaniard, but Saul, who has played in defence, midfield and attack this season, has insisted that he wants to stay at Atletico "forever".

"Everything is going well this season. I've fulfilled a dream I had since I was tiny, when I arrived at Cadete B. The daily effort is the best way to thank the club for what they have given me," Saul told AS.

"I'd stay here forever. Atletico has given me everything. It's my club, my home. If I was offered a lifetime contract I'd be happy to play here until my legs gave up."

Saul represented Real Madrid's youth team between 2006 and 2008, before making the move to Atletico, where he made his first-team debut in 2012.
