Manchester United pair Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans are reportedly on the summer transfer list of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
The Frenchman bolstered his defensive ranks in January by recruiting Brazilian centre-back Gabriel Paulista from Villarreal.
However, Wenger is keen to further add to his rearguard at the end of the season, with Dynamo Kiev's Austrian international Aleksandar Dragovic believed to be a target.
It has been suggested that Wenger will send his scouts to watch the 24-year-old in action during Kiev's upcoming Europa League encounter against Everton.
Were a deal for Dragovic not to materialise, both Smalling and Evans are viewed by the Arsenal boss as alternative options, according to the Daily Mail.
In 2010, it was suggested that Smalling, then of Fulham, held talks with Arsenal, but he eventually agreed a switch to United for an undisclosed fee.
