Manchester United are reportedly set to miss out of luring Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao to Old Trafford again this summer.
The Red Devils had been heavily linked with a move for the Portuguese international at the end of last summer's transfer window, and The People claims that the outgoing Premier League champions will once more be frustrated in their efforts to sign the player.
Coentrao has found himself struggling for first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu, but with an injury to Brazilian Marcelo, the 26-year-old has impressed for Los Blancos in recent weeks.
His form has led manager Carlo Ancelotti and star player Cristiano Ronaldo to sing his praises to club president Florentino Perez and their overtures appear to have worked with Real set to offer him a new deal rather than let him go.
