Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offer Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Juventus in a bid to secure a deal for the Italian club's left-back Alex Sandro.
Sandro came close to joining Chelsea in the summer before eventually remaining in Turin.
The Blues are still said to be interested in the Brazil international, but it has recently been claimed that United are preparing a £60m approach for the in-demand left-back ahead of the January transfer window.
According to The Sun, United boss Jose Mourinho will use Mkhitaryan to sign Sandro, with the Armenian international out of favour at Old Trafford following a reported disagreement with his manager last month.
The same report claims that Juventus would prefer any deal to take place at the end of the season, but are open to the possibility of a player-plus-cash transaction occurring next month.
Mkhitaryan, who has failed to make the United squad in eight of their last nine matches, has also been linked with a return to Borussia Dortmund.
