Manchester United are reportedly ready to renew their interest in Diego Godin, who is yet to pen a new deal with Atletico Madrid.

Manchester United have reportedly indicated that they are ready to renew their interest in Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.

United were linked with an approach for the Uruguay international in the summer, but it was suggested that any interest was only reciprocated in order to secure a better deal for Godin at Atletico.

However, the 32-year-old is still yet to pen fresh terms at the Wanda Metropolitano, and according to The Mirror, United are ready to make another move for the centre-back.

Reports in Spain have claimed that Godin remains in advanced talks with the La Liga giants, but it appears that United are prepared to indicate that they would welcome the chance to sign the experienced South American.

Godin - who currently has less than a year left on his existing deal - is in his ninth campaign at Atletico and has made 350 appearances in all competitions.
