Arturo Vidal to Manchester United 'imminent'

A Manchester-based journalist describes Arturo Vidal's move to Manchester United as "imminent"

Manchester United are on the verge of securing the services of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to a journalist based in the city.

The Chilean international hinted at the weekend that he would give strong consideration to a move to Old Trafford, providing that the Premier League outfit submitted a bid to his Italian employers.

While no official confirmation from either club has been made, Peter Spencer, who is the sports editor of the Manchester Evening News, has claimed on Twitter that Vidal's arrival is "imminent".

It's been reported that the Red Devils would have to part with at least £35m to sign the 27-year-old, who scored 18 goals in all competitions last season.

Vidal joined Serie A champions Juve back in 2011 from German side Bayer Leverkusen.
