Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray believes that his side deserved at least a point from Friday's 1-0 defeat at Leicester in the Championship.

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray has insisted that his side deserved at least a point from Friday's 1-0 defeat at Leicester City in the Championship.

David Nugent scored the only goal of the game in the 70th minute at the King Power Stadium, but Boro had the chance to earn a draw in injury time when they were awarded a penalty.

However, Marvin Emnes saw his spot kick saved by Kasper Schmeichel as the visitors were beaten for a third consecutive time in the league.

"We are very disappointed as I think we did enough not to lose the game," Mowbray told Sky Sports News.

"We created enough chances to get something out of the game. We have to be more clinical and it is a very frustrated dressing room."

The defeat has seen Middlesbrough stay in fifth place in the table.
