Remy Cabella open to Premier League move

Remy Cabella says that he wants to stay and fight for Montpellier HSC but admits that he would be open to a move to the Premier League.

Montpellier HSC midfielder Remy Cabella has said that he is focused on keeping the club in Ligue 1 but reveals that this will be his final season at Stade de la Mosson.

The 23-year-old has recently been linked with a move to Newcastle United, but he has hinted that an immediate transfer might be out of the question with La Paillade just three points clear of safety.

"For the moment, in my head, I'm 100% Montpellier," he told French radio station RMC. "If a proposal comes, it is up to the two clubs to discuss and I will think in terms of that.

"England interests me, there are good clubs out there. If Montpellier reaches an agreement with an English club that suits me, I'll be happy.

"I think this is my last season with the club and I do not want to leave Montpellier in Ligue 2. This is my last year and I hope to finish in style. I love England but also Spain, Italy and Germany."

Cabella has scored six goals in 18 league appearances this season.
