Nothing could separate Motherwell and Hearts in an SPL match of few chances this afternoon.
The hosts were the first to force the opposition keeper into making a save, doing so in the 24th minute when Michael Higdon latched onto Chris Humphrey's cross, but Jamie MacDonald was equal to his effort.
Henrik Ojamaa was the next to have a sight of goal for the hosts, finding space to shoot outside of the area, but his strike went wide.
Ryan Stevenson looked to respond for the visitors, but his effort also failed to hit the target.
Jamie Walker made Darren Randolph work 10 minutes after the interval as his shot forced the Motherwell keeper into making a save.
Neither side could find the breakthrough in the rest of the second period as both sides had to settle for a share of the spoils.
The result means that neither side move in the SPL table, although Motherwell now sit level on points with third-place Aberdeen.
