Walter Mazzarri refutes Antonio Conte's suggestions that Juventus has a tougher fixture list.

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has slammed Antonio Conte's claims that the fixture list is working against Juventus.

Juve coach Conte had expressed an issue with his side having to play Roma on Saturday evening after playing Celtic in the Champions League earlier this week.

However, Mazzarri has emphatically dismissed Conte's suggestions and pointed towards his own side's clash with Sampdoria on Sunday after their Europa League tie with Viktoria Plzen on Thursday.

"Juventus? I don't give a damn what Juventus do," Mazzarri told reporters.

"They played on a Tuesday and are taking to the field on a Saturday. We played on a Thursday and are playing on a Sunday.

"They can do the maths, I would have preferred to have played in the evening at least [against Sampdoria] but I don't want to go back to that now."

The Neapolitans currently trail Juve by six points at the top of Serie A.
