Sunday's Serie A predictions including Napoli vs. Juventus

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Napoli vs. Juventus.

Hellas Verona vs. Sassuolo (Sunday, 11.30am)

Serie A's Sunday lunchtime kickoff pits together two teams fighting for survival, as Hellas Verona host free-falling Sassuolo at Stadio Bentegodi.

Hellas have won just once this year, and they are joined on 20 points by the visitors, who were thumped 6-1 in their first game since sacking Alessio Dionisi.

We say: Hellas Verona 2-1 Sassuolo

Only two of 17 previous Serie A meetings between these clubs have ended in a draw: as Verona are much harder to beat at the Bentegodi than away from home, they can prolong that trend and pull three points clear of ailing Sassuolo.

Empoli vs. Cagliari (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Both embroiled in the battle for Serie A survival, Empoli and Cagliari meet at Stadio Carlo Castellani on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts' recent resurgence has helped them climb away from the bottom three, but their visitors are deeper in danger, despite drawing with the champions last time out.

We say: Empoli 2-1 Cagliari

As Empoli are enjoying their best form of the season, they should expect to overcome a fragile Cagliari side that cannot buy a win on the road. The Sardinians have scored only eight Serie A goals away from home this season, while their hosts are now full of confidence in the final third.

Frosinone vs. Lecce (Sunday, 2.00pm)

One point and two places in the Serie A table separate Frosinone and Lecce heading into Sunday's encounter at the Stadio Benito Stirpe.

The last time either side won a league game came at the start of February — the away side's 3-2 success over Fiorentina, underscoring both teams' struggles.

We say: Frosinone 1-0 Lecce

Frosinone have lost four of their last five on home turf, but Lecce are winless on their travels this season, losing eight of 13 road matches, thus making Sunday's game tricky to predict.

However, the home side's six wins from 13 games at Stadio Benito Stirpe mean they have a higher chance than Lecce of claiming maximum points.

Atalanta vs. Bologna (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Aiming to overhaul their visitors in the Serie A standings, Atalanta BC welcome in-form Bologna to Bergamo on Sunday evening.

While La Dea lost heavily in midweek, their Emilian counterparts have won five straight games ahead of a crucial clash in the race for Champions League qualification.

We say: Atalanta BC 1-0 Bologna

Expect a tight game between two well-drilled sides on Sunday evening, as Atalanta and Bologna are evenly matched in many respects. Both feature in the top three for Serie A goals after the 90th minute this season, so this contest may not truly be over until the final whistle.

Napoli vs. Juventus (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Old foes Napoli and Juventus reconvene at Stadio Maradona on Sunday, as two Serie A giants fight it out for maximum points at Stadio Maradona.

While the struggling Scudetto-holders took some frustration out on Sassuolo in midweek, Juve's late victory last weekend finally halted a worrying winless streak.

We say: Napoli 1-1 Juventus

The last 11 league games between Napoli and Juventus have produced five wins for each side and one draw, and Serie A's Sunday-night kickoff could be just as evenly poised. Though the champions are still re-finding their rhythm, Juve will still find it tough to leave Naples with all three points.
