Newcastle United forward Yoan Gouffran is looking to add more goals to his game in the next season.
The Frenchman netted for the first time since Boxing Day in the Magpies' 1-0 win over the Wellington Phoenix on Saturday.
Gouffran has admitted that although he likes finding the net he is happy to play whatever role Alan Pardew asks of him, after being deployed out wide at times last season.
He told the club's official website: "It was nice to score and I hope it is not my last of this season. I hope it is the first of a lot of goals.
"It was important for me because I hadn't scored since Boxing Day, so it was good for my confidence. Having said that, it's not a big problem for me though, because when I play I work hard for the team.
"I always want to score but if I don't, I don't mind too much, as long as the team are winning. The team is the most important thing."
Newcastle open their Premier League campaign against champions Manchester City on August 17.
