Alan Pardew rubbishes Hatem Ben Arfa rumours

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew dismisses rumours of a rift with midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa following suggestions on social media the pair had come to blows.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has dismissed suggestions of a rift between himself and midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa.

Frenchman Ben Arfa has been training away from the first team and rumours circulating on social media had suggested that the pair had come to blows.

Pardew told reporters: "I have seen that. It's an absolute load of rubbish. He came and shook my hand at the end and that was it."

Ben Arfa was left out of the matchday squad as Newcastle beat Cardiff City 3-0 at St James's Park.
