Nice to part company with Rene Marsiglia

Nice will be on the lookout for a new manager after the announcement that Rene Marsiglia's contract has not be renewed.

Rene Marsiglia has announced that Nice club president Jean-Pierre Riviere has decided not to renew his contract at the Stade Municipal du Ray.

The decision was taken following the club's final match of the campaign, in which they defeated Lyon 4-3 at the Stade de Gerland.

"I won't be coaching Nice next season. I had a meeting with the president Jean-Pierre Riviere and director general Julien Fournier and they told me the news," said Marsiglia.

"I wasn't over the moon at the news because I've become very attached to my squad of players, but I also respect the laws of coaching. I'm hugely disappointed, but I have to accept their decision."

Les Aiglons finished the season in 13th position.
