Nice are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Pacos de Ferreira midfielder Jean-Michael Seri.
The Ligue 1 outfit are believed to be in the market for a deep-lying midfielder, with Didier Digard's contract expiring at the end of the season.
According to Get French Football News, Nice have agreed a provisional four-year contract with the 23-year-old.
However, the clubs have yet been able to settle on a transfer fee, with Pacos de Ferreira said to be holding out in a bid to drum up more interest in the Ivorian.
Nice are reported to have offered €1.2m (£870,000), but it is thought that a price in that region in unlikely at this stage of negotiations.
