Nemanja Pejcinovic has confirmed that he has left Nice after rejecting a new contract with the club.
The Serbian defender, 26, arrived at the Allianz Riviera four years ago following a spell with Belgrade-based side Rad.
While Pejcinovic has not revealed the names of any clubs, the centre-back has hinted that he has found somewhere to play next season.
"I wanted to stay but, in the end, we could not reach an agreement," he told Nice's official website.
"My current ambitions are currently higher than what the club can offer me today. I know OGC Nice can improve and I hope to return one day but, right now, I have to think about myself and my family.
"I have always wanted to play in the Champions League or at least in some other European competition. It is a dream I have had since I was little. I now have the opportunity to do so."
Pejcinovic scored one goal in 15 games for Nice last season.
