Jonny Howson: Norwich City "have to stay focused"

Norwich's Jonny Howson insists after their 4-1 thrashing of Millwall that there will be plenty more "twists and turns" before the Championship promotion race is settled.

Norwich City midfielder Jonny Howson has urged his teammates to remain focused for the final stretch of the Championship campaign in order to keep their promotion hopes alive.

The Canaries bounced back from a surprise home defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic in midweek by emphatically beating Millwall 4-1 at The Den on Saturday afternoon.

Howson scored twice in that rout, although he insists that Norwich, now just one point off the league summit, still have a lot of work to do in their remaining 10 games.

"It's going to be very tight; there will be twists and turns until the end of the season," he told the club's official website. "After Wednesday's game I mentioned how at this stage of the season there are going to be upsets and unexpected results.

"The majority of teams are fighting for something, so there are no easy games. In football things can soon change, which we've seen over the years. There's always a team that comes right at the end, or one that falls away, so we've done nothing yet. We have to stay focussed."

Norwich are back in action next weekend when they take on fellow promotion chasers Derby County at Carrow Road.
