Norwich City boss Alex Neil eyes top-two finish

Alex Neil admits that he is eager for Norwich City to gain automatic promotion from the Championship after seeing them thrash Millwall 4-1.

Norwich City boss Alex Neil has admitted that he has his eyes set on a top-two finish in the Championship following his side's 4-1 thrashing of Millwall.

The Canaries eased to victory at The Den on Saturday to move to within a point of the automatic promotion places.

Neil now hopes that his players can build on their win in the capital and enjoy a strong finale to the season.

"When the dust settles on this season, we want to be in one of the top two spots," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "I wouldn't say it would be a failure to not reach it but I'll be disappointed as there is no reason we can't continue this run."

Norwich continue their Championship campaign next Saturday when they host promotion rivals Derby County.
