Manager Alex Neil hails Norwich City's strength in depth after Watford win

Norwich boss Alex Neil praises recalled pair Cameron Jerome and Wes Hoolahan after the 3-0 win at Watford.

Norwich City boss Alex Neil has said that his team selection paid off as they beat Watford 3-0 in the Championship earlier today.

A brace from Lewis Grabban and a goal from Cameron Jerome, who was brought into the side by Neil, saw the Canaries register their fifth league win in a row.

Neil told the club's official website: "You need to use your full squad nowadays, and we used some of the guys who haven't been playing, and Cameron Jerome scored and Wes Hoolahan got the penalty, so it worked well for us.

"Ultimately I've got to pick the team that I think is going to win the game. With the players that were left out, I had that discussion with them and made it clear why I was leaving it them out. It wasn't about form, it was just about picking the right team to win games.

"It's important that you come away to the top teams and make it as difficult for them as you can. The game really couldn't have worked out any better for us."

Norwich now sit fifth in the Championship table, four points adrift of the automatic promotion places.
