Norwich City midfielder Mathias Normann has revealed that he hopes to stay at the club next season.
The 25-year-old is on a season-long loan in the Premier League from Russian outfit Rostov, but if the Canaries avoid relegation they have the option to make the move permanent.
Right now Dean Smith's team are bottom of the table and eight points adrift of safety with nine games left to play.
"I am open for the most part, of course, but what I hope for is to stay with Norwich even though we have a tough period now," he said to Pink Un.
"Football turns very fast, it is not like we have lost faith, we train, do the things we are supposed to, and go into every match to win. We will just see what happens."
The Norwegian international has played in 16 of Norwich's 29 Premier League games so far, scoring once.
