Billy Davies 'confident' Nottingham Forest can still finish in top two

Billy Davies believes that Nottingham Forest can still finish in the Championship's top two despite Saturday's blow at Burnley.

Billy Davies has expressed his confidence in Nottingham Forest to still push for the Championship's top two spots in the final months of the season.

Forest's automatic-promotion aspirations took a hit on Saturday when they fell to a 3-1 defeat to second-placed Burnley.

Despite now being eight points adrift of the Clarets and 16 behind runaway leaders Leicester City, Davies still feels that Forest have a chance of finishing in the top two.

When asked if second spot is still possible, Davies told Sky Sports News: "Yes, it is, absolutely.

"There are 14 games to go and lots can happen. There is lots to play for, lots of points available."

Saturday's defeat at Turf Moor was Forest's first in the league since November, ending a run of 14 games unbeaten.
