Crawley Town manager Sean O'Driscoll has held further talks with Nottingham Forest regarding the vacant post at the City Ground, according to reports.
The 55-year-old has already sat down to discussions with the Forest hierarchy and Sky Sports News understands that the former Doncaster Rovers boss is now the leading candidate for the job.
O'Driscoll, who was a part of Steve Cotterill's backroom staff last season, could be confirmed as the new boss by the end of the week.
Cotterill was axed last week after the Al-Hasawi family completed their takeover.
