Billy Sharp thinks that Nottingham Forest strike partner Dexter Blackstock suits his game perfectly after the pair combined to help Nottingham Forest beat Leeds United 4-2 this afternoon.

Nottingham Forest forward Billy Sharp believes that his strike partner Dexter Blackstock was instrumental in today's victory over Leeds United.

Sharp bagged a brace while Blackstock scored a thumping header as Forest came from a goal down to thrash Leeds 4-2 at the City Ground.

Blackstock found Sharp to deadly effect for Forest's second, a trick the striker believes they need to repeat more regularly.

He told Sky Sports News: "We went one goal down so it was important to get back in quickly. We came out stronger in the second half and got the three points we deserved.

"When Dexter's in the team we need to use him, not just lumping it but putting good balls into his area.

"He's made a career out of doing that and I just wanted to thank him for his part in that second goal."

A lunchtime victory over Leeds takes Forest temporarily up to eighth place, just a single point off the playoff places.
