Steve Hodge: 'Notts County must be focused against Coventry City'

Notts County caretaker manager Steve Hodge says that his players must be focused when they face Coventry City on Saturday.

Notts County caretaker manager Steve Hodge has warned his players that they must be at their best if they are to defeat Coventry City on Saturday.

Hodge, who was placed in temporary charge following the departure of Chris Kiwomya on Sunday, led Notts to a victory over Oldham Athletic in midweek.

Hodge has said that the players must put Tuesday's success behind them as they prepare to face Steven Pressley's side.

"We know that we're in the bottom four still so we have a lot of things to catch up on. We've got lots of wins ahead of us hopefully because of the poor start we had to the season," Hodge told Notts County's official website.

"Tuesday night was great but it's history now and we've got to move on quickly. If the team goes out there and puts a shift in for each then we may get a result.

"If we don't, it could be hard afternoon for all of us, as we're playing against a good team who are strong at home. That's always my message to the players – if one through to 11 put a shift in then we've got a chance."

Notts currently sit 23rd in League One.
