Antonio Cassano hints at retirement

Free agent Antonio Cassano hints at retirement after terminating his contract with Parma in January.

Veteran striker Antonio Cassano has hinted that he may retire, after the attacker terminated his contract with Parma in January.

The former Italy international took legal action against the Serie A side over a dispute regarding unpaid wages.

Now the 32-year-old is without an employer and is currently linked with his first club Bari, but Cassano is unsure whether he will play again.

"Bari is everything to me. It's the city I love, but I do not know if I'm going to play there," Cassano said, according to Goal.com.

"It's important to have piece of mind for my family and myself and Bari is in my heart, but it's difficult to say I will go there.

"We are happy in Parma now that I am not playing, so I don't know if I will continue playing or not. We will see."

The Italian started his career with Bari before making his way to Roma, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and a host of other clubs.

Cassano also made 39 appearances for his country, scoring 10 times.
