The hosts have won their first three league games, while the visitors have picked up five points, having won one and drawn two of their opening three.

FC Twente have made a promising start to the season, but the fixture list has been kind to them, coming up against two newly-promoted sides.
As such, we do not expect the hosts to make it four wins on the bounce this weekend, but they may be good enough to get a point, given that Ajax have made a slow start to the season.

Excelsior vs. Almere City (Sunday, 1.30pm)

SBV Excelsior will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Eredivisie when they welcome top-flight newcomers Almere City to Van Donge & De Roo Stadion on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts' powers of collecting points tailed off before the season's first international break, while Almere are one of four sides who are yet to pick up a result in the 2023-24 term.

Excelsior have gone off the boil slightly following a decent first two matches, but a home clash with Almere on Sunday afternoon is the perfect opportunity to earn a second maximum of the season.
The Black Sheep look out of place in the Eredivisie judging off their opening four results, although we believe that they will be competitive this weekend in Rotterdam - even if they suffer another loss.

The respective unbeaten streaks of AZ Alkmaar and Sparta Rotterdam will be put at risk on Sunday afternoon when the two sides meet at AFAS Stadion in the Eredivisie.
The hosts are one of three teams who have won all of their league matches so far, while an impressive start from Sparta leaves them just a point off the top of the table.

AZ have commenced the 2023-24 term superbly in the Eredivisie and on the continent, and Jansen's charges will be confident of making it four successive wins in the league on Sunday.
Sparta have won both of their league outings so far this season, but we are expecting the side from Rotterdam to suffer their first loss of the campaign at AFAS Stadion.
