Half-Time Report: Lille holding 10-man Paris Saint-Germain

Adrien Rabiot picks up two yellow cards in the space of five minutes as Paris Saint-Germain reach the break goalless against Lille.

Paris Saint-Germain have lost Adrien Rabiot to a red card in the first half of their Ligue 1 opener against Lille.

The visitors started the better of the two sides, and it looked like they would take an early lead when Edinson Cavani took the ball past Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, but his heavy touch ended his hopes of breaking the deadlock.

Lucas Moura looked threatening out wide when PSG managed to get the ball to the Brazilian, whose fine cross almost created a goal when Rabiot headed over the crossbar.

Lille were handed a huge boost on 28 minutes when Rabiot, who had been booked just five minutes earlier, was shown a red card for pulling Sebastien Corchia back in midfield.

Despite being reduced to 10 men, PSG continued to retain possession impressively, but chances were difficult to come by for both sides prior to the interval.
