With five points separating the two sides in the Ligue 1 table, Sunday's clash between Lille and Lorient looks destined to have a big impact on the race for European football.
Boasting a 13-game unbeaten run on home soil, Paulo Fonseca's men will be hopeful of extending their hot streak when Les Merlus visit the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
We say: Lille 3-1 Lorient
Having won seven of their last 11 league games at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Lille look set to secure another home victory over Lorient, who have failed to win any of their previous five matches on the road.

Angers vs. Nice (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Relegation-doomed Angers find themselves 11 points adrift at the foot of the Ligue 1 table as they prepare to host in-form Nice at Stade Raymond Kopa on Sunday afternoon.
At the opposite end of the standings, the Eagles are flying high in seventh place – 34 points above Angers – having avoided defeat in each of their previous 11 league outings.
We say: Angers 0-2 Nice
We expect Nice to heap more misery on lowly Angers this weekend, with the visitors likely to keep a clean sheet on their way to inflicting a 23rd defeat of the season on Le SCO.

Clermont vs. Ajaccio (Sunday, 2.00pm)
© Reuters
Running out of time to secure their top-flight status for another season, Ajaccio travel to the Stade Gabriel-Montpied to take on Clermont this weekend.
Ajaccio sit second from bottom in the Ligue 1 table, while Clermont occupy 13th place, so both sides will be eager to pick up a positive result on Sunday afternoon.
We say: Clermont 0-0 Ajaccio
Given that only two sides have picked up fewer points than Clermont and Ajaccio across the past 10 games, Sunday's clash looks destined to be a cagey affair.
With that in mind, we expect Clermont and Ajaccio to play out a goalless draw at the Stade Gabriel-Montpied, with the visitors failing to score for an eighth time in 10 league outings.

Nantes vs. Reims (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Reims travel to the Stade de la Beaujoire to face Nantes in Ligue 1 on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors' sensational unbeaten run came to an end shortly before the international break.
We say: Nantes 0-0 Reims
There have been just eight goals in the last seven meetings between these two sides, including two 0-0s at this ground.
Reims' rearguard will more than likely play a big role in how this encounter ends up, and it is tough to see anything other than another low-scoring affair given recent form.

Brest vs. Toulouse (Sunday, 2.00pm)
© Reuters
Relegation candidates Brest welcome Toulouse to the Stade Francis-Le Ble in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
The hosts enter the weekend just one point and one place above the drop zone.
We say: Brest 1-1 Toulouse
Toulouse have been stronger on the road than at home recently, but the upcoming cup semi could prove to be a distraction.
Brest are scrapping for points, and they have been hard to come by against Toulouse, but after two very challenging home games, they may fare better here.

Monaco vs. Strasbourg (Sunday, 4.05pm)

Monaco welcome Strasbourg to the principality for a Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Louis II on Sunday.
Surprisingly, the visitors come into the game in better form, despite a very troubled season.
We say: Monaco 2-1 Strasbourg
The form table suggests Monaco may struggle in this one despite the huge difference in league positions.
However, their win last time out against Ajaccio may give them confidence, even if Strasbourg impressively held Marseille in their last away outing.

PSG vs. Lyon (Sunday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
The customary late surge towards the Ligue 1 title begins now for Paris Saint-Germain, who return from the international break to host Lyon at the Parc des Princes on Sunday evening.
Les Parisiens hold a seven-point lead at the top of the pile despite flattering to deceive throughout 2023, whereas their visitors are smack-bang in the middle of the rankings in 10th spot.
We say: Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 Lyon
With Lyon seemingly growing in confidence on the goalscoring front and PSG simply unable to shut up shop on home soil, an entertaining affair between two giants of the French game could very well materialise here.
As alarm-raising as PSG's loss to Rennes was, the champions were working with a ravaged backline - which should not be the case here - and Galtier's refreshed troops should revert to type with all three points, but not without a couple of scares along the way.
