Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Reims

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Reims.

Buoyed from securing their place in the Champions League quarter-finals, Paris Saint-Germain will return to league action with a home encounter against Reims on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts are currently nine points clear at the top of Ligue 1, while the visitors will begin the weekend in ninth position.

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 Reims

PSG will be full of confidence after beating Real Sociedad in midweek to extend their unbeaten run to 21 matches in all competitions.

While Enrique could decide to rotate his squad this weekend, we still believe the hosts will have enough quality to clinch all three points.

Strasbourg vs. Monaco (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Strasbourg will be hoping to put distance between themselves and the Ligue 1 drop zone when they welcome Monaco to the Stade de la Meinau on Sunday.

The visitors, meanwhile, are currently sitting in third spot and looking to pick up three crucial points to aid their bid to secure Champions League qualification.

We say: Strasbourg 1-3 Monaco

Monaco have proven to be an irresistible force in recent away matches, and we think the visitors will utilise their impressive firepower to get the better of a Strasbourg side that has struggled defensively in recent times.

Le Havre vs. Toulouse (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Gameweek 25 in Ligue 1 will see a stuttering Le Havre look to pull away from the drop zone when they take on Toulouse at Stade Oceane on Sunday afternoon.

With just 10 games left in the regular season, the hosts are uncomfortably close to the dotted line, currently in 15th place, while the visitors are in 10th place and five points above their opponents.

We say: Le Havre 1-2 Toulouse

Barring their Europa League disappointment against Benfica last month, Toulouse are arguably in the best form we have seen all season and come into this match having beaten three of the top five sides in succession. Le Havre, on the other hand, have lost four on the bounce ahead of this match, and we feel they are likely to suffer a fifth consecutive defeat in this one.

Metz vs. Clermont (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Ligue 1's bottom two teams in the table will meet on Sunday when Metz host Clermont.

Metz ended a winless streak of 10 league games when they defeated Nantes last time out, while rock-bottom Clermont have failed to win any of their last six matches.

We say: Metz 1-1 Clermont

Metz will have taken plenty of confidence from returning to winning ways last weekend, and they will be viewing this match as the perfect opportunity to cut the gap to the teams ahead of them.

However, Clermont should not be underestimated given their high performance levels last season, especially as this game could be their last chance saloon in terms of saving themselves from relegation. We can envisage a nervy draw.

Lille vs. Rennes (Sunday, 4.05pm)

Aiming to record three-straight victories for the first time since January, Champions League-chasing Lille will welcome Rennes to Decathlon Arena for a Ligue 1 clash on Sunday afternoon.

Les Dogues were handsome winners on the continent during the week to boost their chances of European progression, whilst Les Rouges et Noirs have been afforded seven days to dwell on last weekend's defeat to Lorient.

We say: Lille 2-1 Rennes

Lille - alongside leading marksman David - are beginning to hit their stride at a crucial stage of the campaign, so Les Dogues should be confident of collecting three points this weekend.

Rennes face a daunting trip to Decathlon Arena as they strive to bounce back from the derby defeat to Lorient last weekend, and we feel that Stephan's men will be unable to earn a result.

Marseille vs. Nantes (Sunday, 7.45pm)

With the positive impacts of a new manager in full effect, an in-form Marseille outfit will host relegation-threatened Nantes at Orange Velodrome on Sunday night in Ligue 1.

Les Phoceens were impressive winners in the Europa League on Thursday night against Villarreal, whilst Les Canaris were unable to get the better of strugglers Metz during their most-recent fixture.

We say: Marseille 3-1 Nantes

Enjoying a new lease of life under the expert tutelage of Gasset, Marseille will be confident of securing a third-straight Ligue 1 win on Sunday night.

Nantes' survival aims took a hit against Metz last time out, and the Orange Velodrome is not an ideal location to bounce back with a result.
