Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has said that Saint-Etienne punished his team for two mistakes in last night's draw at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
Brazilian defender Marquinhos played an unfortunate part in both goals as Benjamin Corgnet and Romain Hamouma put Les Verts 2-0 up.
However, Edinson Cavani cut the deficit in the 68th minute before Blaise Matuidi struck deep in injury time to snatch a point against 10 men.
"It was a very difficult match, but an excellent evening's entertainment all the same," Blanc told the club's official website.
"We will play other teams like Saint-Etienne this season, very hard to play and very talented. In these types of matches you have to be technically irreproachable.
"We made two mistakes tonight and we were punished each time. That gave this Saint-Etienne side confidence. Paris weren't good enough tonight to get the victory."
Les Parisiens are top of Ligue 1.
