Monaco hold Paris Saint-Germain

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Radamel Falcao find the net as Paris Saint-Germain draw 1-1 at home to Monaco.

Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco have played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw in Ligue 1.

The hosts were quickest off the starting blocks, snatching an early lead through Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who turned in Maxwell's cross after Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic failed to collect the ball.

PSG's lead lasted little more than 15 minutes as Radamel Falcao hit back for the visitors in the 20th minute, the striker meeting Joao Moutinho's cross with a brave diving header to restore parity.

Ibrahimovic missed a glorious opportunity to put PSG back in front just before the break when he found himself clean through on goal. The Swedish international attempted to pick out Ezequiel Lavezzi with a lofted pass, only to put too much on it and blaze the ball out for a goal kick.

It was a tight second half, but both sides had chances to take maximum points. Subasic produced a wonderful save to deny Ibrahimovic at one end, while Yannik Feireira Carasco dragged an effort wide unchallenged at the other.

Edinson Cavani almost drilled home a dramatic stoppage-time winner for PSG, only to be denied by Subasic at the death.
