PSV Eindhoven held by Groningen

Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven concede late to draw 1-1 at Groningen.

Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven have been denied a sixth consecutive win in the league with a 1-1 draw at Groningen.

The visitors took the lead on 56 minutes when Luuk de Jong rose highest at the back post to head in his seventh goal of the season.

However, Groningen earned themselves a share of the spoils with just seven minutes remaining as Michael de Leeuw stooped to head in from close range.

PSV pushed hard during the final stages for what would have been a winning goal, but the hosts were able to hold on for a point.
