Clint Hill insists that under-pressure manager Mark Hughes has the full backing of the Queens Park Rangers players.

Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill has insisted that manager Mark Hughes has the "full support" of the dressing room despite their poor start to the season.

The Hoops currently sit bottom of the Premier League table with just two points after failing to win any of their opening seven matches.

This poor form has led to speculation that Hughes's job at Loftus Road is under threat, but Hill has stressed that the players are fighting hard to improve the Welshman's position.

"Everybody on the inside is pulling in the same direction and trying to get the result we need," he told the Fulham Chronicle.

"The gaffer is confident he can turn things around - he wouldn't be here if he wasn't. He's still got the full support of all the boys. We're fully behind him and the staff."

Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes recently rejected reports suggesting that Hughes was on the brink of being sacked, stating that he had "complete faith" in the former Manchester United forward.
